Default door keypad replace

The carwash broke the door keypad bracket so I bought another keypad. Anyone know if the keypad is plug n play or does it need to be programmed?

plug and play, the code is stored in the BCM (assuming you are talking about the factory one in the pillar)

Yes the factory one. The parts guy at the dealer told me it had to be programmed but I really didn't believe him.

Anyone know if there is a diagram of the door? I was not smart when I took the old one out and did not see how the wire was routed. It seems like every which way I put the new one in the window hits the wire.

Lots of pictures in the How-to thread. Maybe that'll help.

Default Key Pad

Once programmed for the first time, the next one is good, you just need the factory code card
