Default Does anyone recognise this piece?

Last week when I finished washing the truck I found one of these on the floor by the front left tire.
I didn't know if it was from the truck, but since I washed the truck with a hose and not a pressure washer I thought that probably was not from the truck.
Fast forward to this weekend, and when I washed the truck again I found another one on the plastic trim between the hood and the windshield, so I'm assuming that must have come from the wipers.
Does anyone know where this actually came from?
Thanks in advance

Where the wiper arm mounts to the motor. Mine kept coming out too, tried super gluing them, not sure if they stayed or not.
Pull the wiper arm off & you'll see where it goes.

I asked the same question. It is a production piece you do not need it. Used to index the wipers. It will not stay in place.

Not sure an assembly aid is a rubber band.

Yeah assembly uses stuff like that just for ease of handling or for helping to separate multiple groups of connections like on wire harnesses sometimes its just tape .Or the component overlaps another during assembly and gets plugged in further down the line . If you don't like looking at it you can take it off . If it was there to prevent rubbing or wear on a nearby component it would be much more secure . The person mounting the assembly may not be the same person that plugs it in .
Don't tell anyone but I took the tags off my mattress.

I found one in my driveway the other day too. I never would have guessed it fell off my truck. Lol
