Default Disabled Wi-fi

Hello all.

I just purchased a 2021 Lariat Powerboost here in the Middle East and for some reason they have disabled the Wi-Fi part of the "Connectivity" on the Sync system. Any of you computer wiz's know how to re-enable it? Maybe thru forscan?

Thanks.

Interested in a similar capacity, I have it enabled, but obviously it doesn't get any signal as the (e)SIM is tied to ATT. When trying to search for apps it says none are available for my region. Somebody suggested you may be able to swap SIM cards, but I think these new trucks are eSIM and we will be out of luck when not in the USA.

Wifi connectivity has zero to do with a sim card.

Hotspot capability uses the sim card.

I'm from the Middle East (Kuwait) and having the same issue. I'm wondering if they will issue system and maps updates for Middle East region. If you solve it please keep us updated.

I must be missing something here. What good is the truck's wifi port if it can't get out to a web server, which is where the SIM comes in. The truck's wifi connects to the internet via ATT cell service.

Truck has WiFi built in to connect to home network and get updates.

Hotspot capability uses modem to provide WiFi network to passengers while driving.

Two different things.

You can try parking the truck close to Wi-Fi to update the system. I do that when I am in Mexico.

Wi-Fi hotspot uses AT&T and... if it's eSIM... you can't change it. I really doubt Forscan can change anything in it.

The complete wifi part has been disabled, which also means I can't update the Sync system. I have to get the dealer to do it. It shows an IMEI number so I think its been installed.

I'm actually on the plane right now and headed to London. I'm visiting my friend in KSA and he owns an American F150, I don't know if he's got his connected but will see him in two weeks in Riyadh.
