Default Digital Dash Brightness

It has always bothered me why my digital dash could not automatically adjust brightness based on ambient daylight. The truck already has a sensor to trigger the automatic headlights, and the navigation changes to a dark theme at the appropriate time.

Well, I have good news for the forum! I was getting tired of being blasted by a bright dash at night, so I manually adjusted the brightness on my digital dash a few nights ago to a lower setting. Upon startup in bright daylight, the dash reverted to high brightness, but later in the evening it recalled my setting and dimmed!

Perhaps it was obvious to others, but I was not aware that the digital dash has the ability to remember day and night settings.

It has been this way in Fords for a long time. My only issue is that at dawn/dusk, when the sun is low but still bright out, the gauges and sync screen will be in night mode but I like to dim it to about half brightness when it is completely dark so I don't totally screw up my night vision, but it is too dim at dawn/dusk, so I have to constantly adjust the brightness
