Default Died in it's deep sleep?!

My 2021 lariat went to deep sleep after just having been driven 4 days ago. I only have 488 miles on it. Anyone else run into this? As I could not manually start it, so I am thinking maybe it is the battery? The Ford Pass just says it's in Deep Sleep, but that I should be able to wake it manually. Yeah, I am thinking it's gonna take some scary magic to wake this one from it's Deep Sleep.... It's not even trying, but I hope it's just battery.

Seems to be a common problem. See this thread.

Get yourself a CTEK MXS 5.0 Charger Maintainer ASAP before doing anything else.

Omg, thank you for pointing this out! I had been looking around both on this forum (apparently using wrong keywords) and on Google. I had come across articles that indicated that the problem was experienced by other manufacturers as well and the start stop feature contributes a bit, but some have begun installing more substantial starter systems.

With only 488 miles, I doubt the battery has even had a chance to go through some charge cycles. I don't drive much this time of year and I recommend the C-Tek trickle charger installation. The truck is loaded with electronics and doesn't like sitting around. Seems dumb, but this is the solution if your truck will not get driven regularly.

Yep, I hooked up my CYEK yesterday about 3pm. The weather around here has been back to back freezing rain and snow. Haven't driven in several days. Around 7pm battery was fully charged, 7th light had lit to my surprise. The first time I used it took 19 hours. This time 4 hours and I left it on overnight to give the BMS its 8 hour schooling and them some. The first time was about a month ago trying it out. It must have made a difference for the BMS obviously. My 3 years old battery stayed near 80% The 3rd light lit in a matter of seconds. 4th lit up after in 20 minutes which marks the beginning of charging to 100%.

Unfortunately, it's not parked anywhere I have any convenient for of external power. Otherwise, I would imagine that the trickle charger would work. I suppose I will just have to remember to take the truck out for a "walk" everyday like a pet, which does not thrill me as I have a hard enough time during this of year to get my own butt up to go running. Fortunately, over the next few months, it will be driven more. I suspect over time manufacturers will be able to balance power with draw in these oversized rolling laptops soon. I did go through the settings and killed most of those that require data transfers of one sort or another, but I do not know how much a draw they can possibly create. I and my last F150 were a good team over the past 10 years and not once did I ask it to make sure the cabin and seat temp was "just so" by 6 am or tell me how long to steep a cup of earl grey. It just had to safely and reliably pull a pony or two. But, Ok, I will admit the heated steering wheel is nice.

I'll get a permanent Battery Tender harness for the F150 and route it to the lower grill area so that I can easily plug it in if I don't think I will drive it for a day or two. Simple insurance.
