Default Decisions, decisions

I just found a new loaded 2020 F150 Limited for about $65k, very tempted to just get it and not worry about new model year. On the other hand the new interior for 2021 is pretty nice and the hybrid is still an unknown...

probably not gonna get it but its very tempting

I recently bought a '19 Limited because of the blue in the '21 limited. Not at all a fan of the blue interior. If you like the blue, go for it

I’m very tempted, but being honest with myself I'm likely not gonna get it. I’m pretty interested in how the hybrid system affects how the truck drives and possibly even make the MPG palatable. Now if they dropped it another $5k...

I know it doesn't matter to some people, but it would be very hard for me to drop $65K on a truck that will be the old body in a few months.

Its not the body so much as the tech. Ive been driving a 2012 JGC so that tech is definitely old, so even the 2020 tech is new and cool for me lol. Thats said, I think if the dealership would drop that truck another $5k id have to seriously think about getting it, along with everyone else lol.

Agreed, this isn't like deciding between a 17 and an 18. This is the biggest overhaul we have seen in 10 years, especially for the interior.

Agreed. I got my hands on a used '19 Limited with 19k miles for $51k. Had every option (except box side steps) and a back flip cover that would've cost me an extra grand. Couldn't pass it up. I love the new interior layout of the '21. I'll revisit the new gen in '22. Let that 1st year get the quirks out.

I bought a 2020 Limited in Late Spring priced in the low 60s. I am glad I did as the red color is no longer an option and the current colors do nothing for me. For me it was the right decision and the right truck. The 21 limited would have been out of my comfort zone as far as the money goes.

this is kind of where I’m at. I know the tech is “old”, but the price is almost right.

Have you explained your position to the dealer, that you would buy the truck for $60, but will otherwise wait for the 21's? Who knows, they may meet your price. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
