As does my 2015 3.5 Ecoboost, and it's still on the original battery at almost 7 years old. It is definitely on borrowed time.

That's pretty good. My 2016 3.5 EB is on its third battery!

Yes it is good. It sometimes sits for a month in the summer, so I will put a Ctek 3300 on it when I know it's going to sit like that. The battery in my wife's 2014 Charger was still going strong at 7.5 years old when I proactively changed it out (I don't mind getting stranded by a dead battery, but the wife wouldn't be happy. Ask me how I know. ) The battery is in the trunk, which I believe helps a lot by keeping it away from the engine compartment heat. I am now using that battery for a trolling motor for my pond.

The dealer said that they couldn’t find anything wrong with the truck after it was brought in to the shop. I find this difficult to believe as it was completely drained when it was here. Since this post I have had additional issues which I have posted on here in other threads.

Mine did this too. Roadside Assistance was needed to open the door & jumpstart it. RA said to take it to the Quick Lane & have them check the battery-no problem noted. Spoke with my (now) Service Writer with the QL dude. SW said “2021 F-150, right?” SW told him to swap the battery, regardless. Said there was a common issue with 2021’s that Ford had received a bad batch of batteries that would do this (die), get tested & pass, then be back in in 3-4 days with the same issue & then they’d get swapped out. Said they were just swapping them & saving everybody the hassle. SW also stated that this issue was only with the 21’s & they’d swapped out at least 150 of them this year (and this was back in June).

2021 ford F150 Platuium Powerboost. build date 6/21 miles 25626.3 Dead battery has been an issue for several months now. I have had it in the shop at my local Ford Dealership, they changed the battery module and ran it thru several tests, and they said it is fixed, I take it home a few days later dead battery. For the past 2 weeks, everything seem fine until yesterday again dead battery. each time I put the main battery under the hood on the career for 5 min and presto it starts. I get the red warning 12v battery state of charge is low. I have read threads it could be the rear door locks, or zone lighting is on, I m getting frustrated with the check engine light and the low charger red warning. please tell me I m not the only one with these problems and please let me know if they have found a fix for this. $73k is way too much money to have a truck with this kind of issue.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.
