Default Dash cam?

Thinking of buying a dash cam system, but I don't know what to look for as there are so many options and features. I'm looking for ease of use and good enough images to record license plate numbers when/if needed.

What do you have or recommend?

IMO, the whole 'reading license plates' thing isn't as important as many make it out to be. To me, a dash camera is to show who did what...lane, relative speeds, color of the light, Drive vs Reverse, etc. I guess in some places hit and runs are more common but just doesn't seem, to me, like the #1 thing. And reading license plates in motion is difficult.

Viofo is where I'd start for price vs performance. Street Guardian is very reliable. Thinkware is the one Ford uses, there's an OBD-II cord for it, and their high end expensive one along with Blackvue are the more premium options

Good information, thanks. Are you currently using one?

Default Blackvue

Pics from my Blackvue 750X-Plus 2Ch. Front and back cameras. There is definitely a learning curve to these cameras but once you get the hang of it it they are great. I suggest BlackBoxmycar.com as a place to research and purchase.

I've been using various cameras since 2013. Right now my truck has a Viofo A119 Pro 4k plus a dual channel Street Guardian. My wife's has a Viofo A119. Happy with them. My next purchase will be to try out the flagship Thinkware with the Ford proven OBD-II hookup

I was looking in the 21 build and price which of those 3 options would you recommend. I'm confused on the $349 vs $329 dual set up
TIA

I'd recommend buying yourself, it's cheaper than going through Ford. But if you are getting one through Ford, I'd just get the more expensive one.

I have the Thinkware F200 PRO front and rear cameras.
The F200 pro has 1080P front and back. I have both hardwired for active parking assist
