Question Cordless Radar detector

It appears that most radar detectors on the market now requires a 12 volt outlet. The cords are not long enough to reach the 12 volt outlet on the back of the center console. Do any of the members have a recommendation for a cordless (battery-operated) radar detector?

Wish there was a top of the dash 12v outlet.

Interesting. Thanks for the info and I will look in to it. Hate those cables hanging from the windshield.

Hardwire kit. <$40 for most brands. Use a fuse tap/add-a-circuit to get power from the kick panel, route the cable up your A-Pillar, and use a suction cup mount along the top of your windshield or mirror mount it instead.

You can also tap the mirror power if applicable. I usually look for a fuel pump fuse or other system that only energizes with the engine on and leave the factory wiring stock.

Mirror Tap and the Blend Mount. Works great. Pricey but worth it.
