Default code P25B4

While on my commute I noticed my adaptive cruise control switched off, and my power was reduced. 2 lights came up on the dash a wrench and warning lamp, Powertrain Malfunction, and Service Engine Soon. Worth noting A week pryor did have a faint plastic burning smell while at a traffic light, just figured it was road crap on the exhaust..
Plugged in a code reader once I had time and got P25b4 Looks like something to do with the turbo wastegate. I noticed the boost gauge in the dash is not moving and the truck has no power.
I called Ford and can drop it off on Monday, I will update with the fix, and hopefully get a few recalls done. These trucks without Boost is quite the eye opener, what a loss of power!
Cheers. (MY25 4349miles)

The Code is for the Wastegate stuck closed.
Electrical or open pipe overheated ?.
Turbos can't develop any Boost if PCM inhibits it as a fault response.
Heat got out somewhere and melted something.
Good luck.

Just an update, my truck is in the shop with the required parts being installed, an service advisor texted me to report on the progress, seems the actuators were binding and they have been replaced, further update when I take delivery on Friday.
Cheers.

Waste Gate stuck closed is the way the fault is described for any electro-mechanical action that fails to operate as described by the program fault description..
An open circuit to the device is a "stuck closed" or "open" if it does not get power to operate the device in either direction.
The program detection of this fault is detected by comparing the unique current signature to a program specification within limits. This is the way it's done digitally.
My bet is it's an open electrical circuit problem if the device is proven to operate with >>test power applied to verify it will operate.
Good luck.

Dealer call, and I picked up my Truck this afternoon, this time it was the Drivers side Turbo.. Hope it was just a bad batch of Turbos!
I put about 70 miles on her driving around so far so good!

Well well it's back.. after replacing both turbos and travelling 1400 more miles Code P25b4 has returned, (this time no boost down low but it builds high in the rpms) I have the truck booked for next Monday.

The Code description P 24B4 says faulty >>>>> circuit.
It's for Boost Pressure Sensing!.
May be sticking open as reason no low RPM Boost until RPM gets higher.
Good luck.

Yeah, I'm starting to think software or wiring, 2 replacement turbo assembly's now and it's still throwing this code? Somethings not right.
