Default Check your wireless connection

I read somewhere here or Facebook that one of the recent updates turns off your connection to your home, or whatever you set up, OFF. I just checked mine and it was off. I had to reconnect to my home router.

If you're not getting updates recently that may be why.

No update delivered to the F150 has required WiFi yet. The few that have the ability to see historical usage by device haven't really been able to pinpoint high data usage to an update coming in either.

There are likely a lot of people out there with crappy cell service in their driveway or garage though.

The latest OTA 4.2.4 kills the secure-alert feature in Fordpass, but not phone connectivity.

Samsungs/ androids seems far more sensitive to heir own native updates overall. So I wouldn't assume that's a Ford induced problem

After reading this thread earlier today, I went out to check my wireless connection in my 2022 Job 1 King Ranch PB. Sure enough it was off. Don't know exactly when the happened. My last update was 4.2.3 on May 5th. I turned the wireless back on and headed out to do some errands.

As I'm sitting here writing this I literally just received a FordPass notice that 4.2.4 successfully installed. I know it's pure coincidence and had nothing to do with reconnecting my wireless. However, I can't wait to see if anything has actually changed (in a negative sense) when I go back out to the truck.

Ever since the 4.x.x updates came out, I've been using the wired connection for Android Auto and it works fine that way.

I noticed that when you posted in another thread. The AA bluetooth hook-up seemed hit-or-miss after some of the 4.2.x updates, so I also used a wired connection after reading your post. It seemed to self-resolve recently and I haven't been using the wire. I'm heading out to the truck now to go back home, so I'll see if there are any problems after the 4.2.4 update.

BTW - local dealer here in Venice is replacing my defective bed camera tomorrow.

I can confirm the 4.2.4 update did not affect my wireless connection. It must have been one of the earlier 4.2.x updates that shut it off. I also no longer connect my Samsung S22 Ultra by wire. The truck has been connecting almost instantly after I start it.
