changes to order once vin is created
ive ordered a 2021 with 5.0L but want to change it to powerboost, but im told by everyone ive called at ford so far that once a vin is created changes cannot be made....my truck is scheduled for june 19th...there must be a way to make a change short of cancelling my order and having to wait even longer for my truck if i placed a new order for one with powerboost
has anyone had any experience with this situation?
Does anyone know who may be able to intervene and make the change to the order?

They are absolutely correct... I have already gone through this ordeal. I special ordered a truck, and they dealer forgot to add the "Interior Work Surface". They tried to add it, after the truck was sent to production, but not yet built... with no luck. I even tried contacting Ford MoCo on my own, and was told that if I wanted to change the order, I would have to cancel my current order and reorder. Sorry, bud!
You are correct. The VIN has the 5.0L identifier in it. I was trying to make the point of, if I couldn't get an order change for a simple arm rest... there was no chance for an engine change. 😜

So i guess if i do cancel I'll be waiting much longer to get a truck. I ordered in early may and was given a June 19 build date but I'm guessing there have been thousands of orders since then, so id be waiting a lot longer now...
