I don't know yet, I only drove home with it. It is not mounted yet since I want to decide whether to put it by my right leg or put it in the console. Wish I could help more, I was just thrilled that it was compatible and sounded great.
How did you get it to work? I bought the same one and it doesn’t play the cd’s.

No skips and sounds pretty decent
How did you get it to work. Mine just spits the cd out after trying to read it. I’ve tried four different CD players, and it does the same thing. I have a 2025 XLT.
So as no one has offered up a 5 disc changer solution, and the "kids" in the thread all want us to switch to USB drives.... When loaded on a USB drive can you see all the music in the Ford touch screen and navigate from one album to another to play the albums you want in their entirety? Is there something I need to do in the way I save cds to the drive to allow this?
Yes they show on the screen and you can navigate from one to the other and play them all the way through. You have to rip the cds. You can't just copy the files and paste to a usb drive.

Say what you want about using USB drives but they are not as convenient as picking six discs from your collection and sliding then into the disc player. I enjoy listening to an artists work as it was intended. A group of songs to form a piece of work. Also every time you copy music or degrades a little bit. CD's maintain their sound as was initially recorded. Is just a shame that the players have all but been eliminated from new vehicles. And the after market solutions are not great.
You can't even pull up to Mickey Shorr anymore and get a cd player put in....

I get what you’re saying but I would never want to deal with CD’s again. I’m 52 years old and I would much rather use my digital playlist on my phone. All my music right there to be easily played on any Bluetooth device

What's age got to do with it? I'm 59 and drive straight through to Florida from Michigan quite often. In my old truck I put in 6 CD's in the order I want to listen to them and don't have to mess with it for 6 hours. Yes, I can play a whole album from a memory stick but then I have to find the next album from the batch etc ...the point is give us choices! You should be able to do it your way and I should be able to do it my way. The car companies have taken that option away from us without a vote! I'd be happy if I could even get an aftermarket CD changer put in, but you can't anymore! I feel like I'm driving an apple product. You can only do what we say you can do with this!
Wow. Put all your music on a USB key in mp3 format and then you can tell the truck to play any artist, album, or song you want. Who the hell wants to deal with CDs anymore?

Who wants to wait for my truck to index 600 CDs?
Who wants to take the time to rip 600 CDs to another format?
Who wants to deal with a truck radio that doesn't recognize what you're saying and you have to keep repeating yourself rather than just hit play?
Who wants to deal with the different volume levels because of the different record levels of music to a memory stick?
You have your ways. I have mine. Point is we should both have the ability to listen to music the way we choose and not be mandated to go totally electronic...
Also I buy CDs all the time. What a pain in the *** it would be to get them all put back on one memory stick. Oh use two okay which one's this CD on. Oh I need a legend to know where all my music is or I could pull a CD out of a jewel case, put it in the player and listen to the album I want to hear...

We also use to have 8-tracks and cassettes. Time moves on. Either move with it or get left behind. I don't have "ways". I just use what's available to me and in this situation it's about 100x more convenient for me. Keep yelling at the clouds I guess.
