CD player recommendations
Oh, kind of like Zelle or Venmo for those who don't carry cash?
What is Zelle or Venmo ?
Sounds like the names of 1950's TV space aliens.
I know of places where if you don't have cash you can't buy anything. Not every little mom and pop store is going to have a card reader you know.

[QUOTE=16IngotFX4;7131571]I fully disagree that the reason they are absent is strictly cost cutting, along with the other theories that they don't exist because of a 20 year old who doesn't know what a CD is. Is Ford saving money, perhaps. Did they make a decision to abandon current tech at the cost of money, nah? If this were 1998 and they refused to add a CD player, yeah that is probably due to cost.
What I like to mention in threads like these , but not to be argumentative or disrespectful. We tend to hold on to the past. No problems there. The CDs in this case are something that 'why did they take it away because I am one out of thousand that really really prefer it.
I'm fairly confident though that while some of the things are outwardly discussed that there is something the manufacturer did that was dumb, but during that save drive where they miss something, they enjoy the quietness, the dual climate HVAC, maybe a heated steering wheel on a colder winter morning, nice leather interior?
Again, not trying to argue, but it's hard to hear people Isay "they shouldn't have taken away dying technology" but thanks for everything I have never experienced that I really like.
I installed a CD player in my previous vehicle, 2008 GM. I do not own a lot of CD, probably counted by the 10's, not 1000's. When I traded it, the sales guy ejected the CD for me (that I had forgotten about). I had to play it at home to even know what I had left behind.
I hope you can find something that works for your needs. Look at Crutchfield online. They usually have a good product line with nice information. If you order from they they give a few freebies with purchase but they are not work a lot. You will at least get a reduced cost, or free wire harness used to install in today's more complicated head units, so to speak. The dash kit that came free with my previous purchase was pretty much cheap junk. You can even chat/call Crutchfield to ask questions you'll have as well. I had better information from them than a kid at Best Buy with limited knowledge.
Next up would be stopping by a local installer. Get a feel for them to determine if they know what they are doing and if they seem reputable and responsible. The kid from Best Buy may still work there at the stereo install, but the owner may make sure the installer kid is good.[/QUOT
Went to pop in an audiobook CD on my 2021 I got 9 months ago & there's no CD player!!!! I was shocked. I guess the younger generations are steaming everything now.

I bought $21 CD burner on Amazon and burned all of my cd's into my computer using the no-loss format for Windows Media player. Now all of my collection,1000+ songs are on the computer. Then I took a 32mb memory stick and transferred all of the songs onto one stick. The stick will hold about 1500 songs in the lossless format. Now I can plug the stick into the USB port on my Jeep or truck and all of the songs play through the system with perfect sound and instant selection of all of my authors and songs at the touch of a button.
Problem solved. Even bought a few more cd's for 4 and 5 bucks apiece to add to the USB stick. Spoiler alert. Best Buy will not help you in any way because they feel using cd's you've purchased through anything but a cd player is piracy. Welcome to the land of freedom!

Opinions definitely vary, however I don't think Piracy is a joking matter.
The only thing I've had stolen (as far as I know) is a youtube video that was reposted by a channel comprised of only stolen content.
I created a video about fire damage after a large fire burnt in our area. I did put time and effort into it, but I'm not a creator by any stretch of the imagination. It was more about everybody else, any comment discussing the devastation was credit to the person who stole my video for 'thinking of the people' for creating the content.
My mother is an author and there are piracy attacks on her often, usually blocked by the threat is real. I know the hard work she puts in, and sucks that somebody else gets the money for it by selling it as their own.
Piracy is real, and will not go away, but should not be joked about (in my opinion) to have help achieving the act of piracy!
