For those of you who have had the CarPlay TSB done, did it address your disconnecting issues? My CarPlay has been flawless for 2 years, but in the past month it has started disconnecting, but always in the same spots close to major power lines. Since it is always in these same spots that seems like an outside interference issue, I am wondering if the TSB will do anything.
had mine done yesterday. It took about 3 hrs including an oil change. First thing I noticed is the entire screen is now full screen. I don’t see a way to split screen anymore. I drove an he home and no crashes or rebooting while I used car play to talk. Before it would crash at least once. Hopefully that’s it.

I think I am behind on my SYNC version, and honestly I am not sure how the SYNC updates are different from the updates the dealer did to my truck. They told me they updated 2 modules and the rest were up to date, but my SYNC screen shows 1207 if I remember correctly. I will have to check when I grab lunch. I got the priority window OTA update a few weeks back.

With that said, if the issue is happening when you drive past specific areas, then for sure it is outside interference. I don't have a good explanation as for why it started doing it two months ago and not before, but the dealer will not be able to update you past where you currently are. I only use a wired connection with my phone. I have an Android, so I enabled developer settings on it, went into the develop menu for Android Auto, and turned off wireless projection completely. It works great. I am not sure if the Apple product will allow to only connect via the cable, but if it does, I would try driving by those same areas with a wired only connection. If it does not disconnect, then at least you can rule out the issue.
