Default bug shield on front of hood

Do any of you have the bug shield on the front of their truck? with all the bugs and rocks hitting the front of the hood I am thinking about it. I know it cuts the MPG, but how does it look? is it worth installing?

Get a clear vinyl wrap.. no effect on gas mileage.

PPF is more expensive, but better protection than vinyl wrap... I am getting both PPF and slim bugshield https://www.autoventshade.com/aeroskin/2022/ford/f-150

I have Ford Bug Sheild, ceramic and ppf on the hood. No effect on mileage, your mirrors cut into mileage more than a Bug deflector.

I have installed this to keep bugs out of the radiator during summer and of course the rocks... they are devastating to the paint at turnpike velocity...

Got the Lund unit. Sits off the edge of the hood
to not hold stuff against the paint and uses existing holes. I don’t know about bug
guts but The reason I always install these is the number of chips I always see on any large truck more than a few years old on the front edge of the hood where it curves down to the grill. That’s probably the main thing they’re designed to fix.

Looks identical to weathertech.
