Default Box Link Tie Downs

Can Fords Box Link tie downs be added later? Am wondering if the threaded holes would already be in the box so that this option could be added after the truck gets to the dealership. The dealer has one coming without the Box Link Package ($80) but otherwise is exactly the build I want. Or maybe there are some aftermarket tie downs that fit the threaded holes in the box.

Threaded, no. The screws are self-threading. To date, the bracket locations have had the holes stamped to accept the screws.

Buy them from Ford. The cheap Chinese copy are not good quality.

If spraying in a bed liner, tape over the screw holes.
yes, self threading Torx screws.
To me, near flat painted steel stamped plates are all the same, branded Ford or not. Search eBay and Amazon. Large variations in pricing and weither buying just the plates, the tie downs or both. E-track fittings fit the box link plates but have some slop.
I have yet to see a reviewed F150 in any trim not have them but mine did not come with the box link, either.

If no spray in bed liner when you buy it, attach the box link before you go to get it sprayed in. That way the company knows not to fill the holes with liner!

I bought mine from Ronin Factory to mount in my bed, and the tie-down cleats are Ford on Amazon. I have the DualLiner snap in plastic liner kit. The box link hardware actually helped in securing the plastic liner kit for me better than without the hardware.
