Default Blue center screen

Started the truck today and the center screen was partially blue. Lariat 502a
Anybody else seen this?
It stayed that way through three cycles of starts and then went back to normal. Second time in 2500 km

Document, document, document. Bring it by a drive in dealer for a warranty look.

I have had this happen in the past on my 2015. I always chalked-it up to a boot error.

I suspect that too, once every 2500km I can live with, but if it becomes more frequent, then that's another matter.

Wasn't there some way to force the screen to reboot? Something ....Something...Hold Menu button down while also holding the FF button down...

Yep; same thing happened to mine, about 3-400 miles ago (now at ~1750). I started up and drove immediately before the navigation had time to boot up, and it went to the blue screen. I had the navigation running, and had stopped for gas. The center screen didn’t show any nav info, but the navigation cues continued to show on the driver’s side screen. Starting and stopping the truck several times didn’t resolve the issue, but after it sat for an hour or so, back to normal. No problems since. I put it down to a boot error. My Mazda will do a similar thing where the navigation system display freezes sometimes if you start moving before it has a chance to initialize; hopefully this is also just a software glitch.

I wonder if the system doesn’t fully shut down at first when you turn the truck off, so it can restart faster if you start up again. Maybe it only fully powers down the logic after it sits for a while, so it doesn’t reboot right away if you turn it off and on.

It would be great to be able to duplicate the issue. That would provide the solution.

it's happened to mine probably 3 times in 6900 miles, and mine is the smaller screen. FWIW, it always the NAV screen that wigs out. If you switch to the audio screen or one of the others, i think it would be normal

Default Reboot

For Sync 4 you can reboot system by pressing power and the > search arrow at the same time. System reboots fairly quickly

Also just found out holding the seek right and volume down buttons on the steering wheel controls will reboot the SYNC 4 system
