Default BLIS Distance

Is the distance the BLIS engages adjustable? My BLIS lights up way too late - the following vehicle is much, much closer than I’m used to with my other vehicle.

2025 Lariat, V8

You still have to look at the mirror. For me blis is a blind spot monitor and it does that perfectly. Even if you set a longer distance, it doesn’t account for cars coming fast. Don’t rely on that light to change lines

Very refreshing post! You are one of the few that doesn't rely on that thing. Most people going around me I've noticed, wait until that stupid light goes off, then right back in they come, invariably, basically cutting you off. Sure doesn't leave much space between them and yourself. For a safety feature, it creates a whole other safety hazard.
Rule of thumb used to be, 1 car length for every 10 mph, but wait, I have blind spot monitoring, I don't have to do that anymore.

Thanks, who knew I had to look in the mirror? 😆

I agree. I put blind spot mirrors on as well. I like to be sure without having to look over my shoulder. Sensors and lights can go out. Hopefully my eyeballs don't haha

I got some off Amazon that fit the f150 profile pretty well.

I had some similar on my 2017 with the small mirrors. They worked well enough, I just prefer a larger round mirror. Spent too much time in big trucks.
I see you mounted them in the outside lower corner, personal preference I reckon, but I always had those convex mirrors mounted the same way across a bunch of little trucks I've had. Just seemed you got better visibility like that.
I know I'll raise some eyebrows, but I'd prefer Ford put flat mirrors on both sides, and let the owner put some better usable convex mirrors on them. Those goofy looking convex mirrors they stick on the bottom of the TT mirrors, IMO, are only good for seeing where the rear tires are. When Ford came out with the superdudes in 1999, that bottom convex mirror wasn't even adjustable, IIRC.

Thanks all. Yep had those small mirrors on my F350. Almost a necessity before BLIS. I’ll pick up a couple.
