Default Becoming Disheartened

I finally got my truck fixed with the A/C issue after multiple visits and rentals being graciously provided by local dealer. However, my transmission is shifting hard, like the whole truck feels like it runs over a speedbump. This happens in gears 6-9 going uphill or accelerating at a decent rate of speed like 50-75 mph rapidly.

I feel like it has gotten worse. I just want to drive the dang thing and not have to bother my service advisor so much.

I came from a 2023 Tundra that I traded for this truck because it literally died in the middle of the road doing 45mph and after all the quality issues I read about, I got rid of it. I'm wondering what I should do now.

what year is the truck?
How many Miles?
What is the trans level? Have you ever checked it?
Has the trans ever been serviced?

Kinda hard to give you any info with no real data on your vehicle.

Unsure, and probably not.
Has the trans ever been serviced?
I had it "re-flashed" once.

All answers above in bold.

I am not saying fluid level or condition is the cause, but it certainly could be. At a minimum, I would get the trans up to temp (206) and do the level check. It is a PITA to check the levels on the 10R80 but at least you could rule trans level out, assuming it is correct. I bet a trans service would be a good thing. I don't buy into the factory 100K mile trans service BS. These 10 speeds have way more moving parts, clutch packs and debris makers in them! Just re-flashing or resetting the learn tables are not enough if the fluid is dirty or low or both.

Pretty sure the trans is "sealed". No dipstick. My trans was a mess, especially after the Powerboost drive motor was replaced. Dealer couldn't help. Tried reflashing twice.. Tried to find a fully equipped (no deletes) 2023 King Ranch 3.5l Ecoboost to replace it. None existed. Ford forced me to look elsewhere and now might not get me back. Especially, if they send more assembly to China (Lincoln Nautilus)

Dipstick is on the underside of the truck just on the Passenger side of the drain pan.

I hope you have a good dealer. They are very very few and far between to find a good one. Most all sux.

Get ready to hear that's normal.

It's a 1 year old truck that's still under the bumper-to-bumper factory warranty. Why are you trying to fix this yourself?.
