Default Auto Stop Start removal

My original window sticker denotes Ford removal of the Auto Start-Stop feature (which I consider useful). Would reinstalling it require more than just the dashboard switch?

I installed a stop start eliminator switch on my 2023. Best thing I have done. That feature was annoying plus a pain in the butt.

Nothing besides enabling it via FORScan, most likely.

Why on earth would you want to ADD it? Folks are paying $100 to get rid of it (or using FORScan).

I don't understand why people are paying $100 so they can use fuel while going nowhere at a stoplight.

As implemented on my 2018, it has been faultless. I cannot get my foot from the brake to the gas fast enough to beat the auto-start. I have tried.
I assumed these complaints were coming from the diesel people who love to leave their trucks running while they make their purchases at Home Depot.

I for one don't have a diesel engine it's 5.0. And have on numerous occasions had it fail to restart! On one of those occasions, I was at the bottom of a hill pulling out on a busy street. When I took my foot off the brakes and it did not start it just rolled, almost got broadsided. That's just one a couple of close calls I've had so far, The other or 60 to 70 times it happened is just a pain in the a**. It's been to a couple of dealers and they can't get any codes. So no I don't like it or want it!

When I drive my diesel to Home Depot I actually like to place a brick on the accelerator pedal while it's running before I go in. But in all seriousness I didn't think it was an option anymore on getting it not installed. Unless there's a caveat to which model with powertrain would allow someone to do it.

I got paid (50.00 credit on window sticker) for not having this installed.

Can't beat that.
