Default Auto stop not working?

I have a 2021 and have the auto stop delete. It’s been on my truck and the auto stop has been on for about a year and a half or so. I recently turned it on but when I come to a stop it does not turn truck off and the light on dash that means it isn’t working comes on. I can hear it “trying” to turn off but it doesn’t. Is there a solenoid or something that has gotten gummed up or frozen from non-use?

Not sure what you mean when you say you have the delete but then turned it on. Ford was selling trucks with a $50 credit for auto stop/start delete but then it isn't ever going to work because it isn't there. Assuming you mean you actually have it, what you will find is if the engine is cold, or the battery isn't up to an acceptable level of charge the truck disables the auto stop/start. If I don't keep a battery tender on mine it will bascially never work because I don't drive the truck every day. If your battery is going bad this could also be a symptom.

I have the auto stop eliminator installed. It stops the truck from turning it back on after truck has been turned off.

One of the reasons the auto start stop won't work is if the battery level is too low. Check the voltage on the battery.

Have you tried removing the eliminator and see if it functions then?

I assume you have the eliminator that plugs in behind the switch. If so, that does nothing to stop it from working, it simply "remembers" if that switch is on or off, and defaults to that on every start. So if you push the button and "off" is not illuminated then *** will work.
If *** isnt working then something else is up but the eliminator is not the reason.

The auto stop eliminator is working correctly. Displays “off” when pressed off. I can hear the mechanism trying to work but it won’t engage the engine off. I believe I read somewhere there is a solienoid somewhere that engages the auto stop feature. Does anyone know what this solenoid is called and/or where it’s located?

Does the auto stop/start indicator on your dash show up as green, or as a grey icon with a line through it (before coming to the stop)?
