Default Auto Headlight Features

Just curious about the auto high beam dimming feature on my truck.......it seems to work very well but .....when the high beams are on there is no indication (blue light ) on the dash that the high beams are active? Is this normal?
When the light switch is set to manual mode, the high beam indicator in the dash works as it should. When it's in auto mode the high beam indicator in the dash does nothing.
Truck is a 502A Lariat.
Thanks in advance.

thanks for the replies, maybe I should reword my question.
Does anyone know if the high beam indicator in the dash (blue light) is supposed to come on when the high beams are actually on when you're using the Autolamp setting on the light control switch?
The high beam indicator in the dash (blue light) works perfectly when you have the light control switch set to Manual.
When it's set to Autolamp there is no way of telling if the high beams are actually on, as the high beam indicator in the dash (blue light) never turns on or off.
I have all the settings correct for the Auto High Beam control to work.
I can see that the headlights are changing between hi and low beam when it's set to Autolamp, but there is no indication in the dash. Is this normal?
Hopefully this makes more sense.
Thank you.

That is what the A means inside the light symbol. Your auto high beams are on. When in manual , you see the blue light symbol but the A will not show on the inside of the light symbol. See the above page from the owner’s manual. My wrong if this is not correct.

I have a July build Lariat 502a also in Canada and my lights while on auto behave the same as the OP - no seperate high beam indicator when high beams are active unless in manual mode.

Let me try and correct my earlier postings. The manual page indicated above is for American trucks. Lighting on Canadian trucks is a bit different. The Lariats have the Reflector Headlamps. These also include Glarefree Lighting setting. See attached. If this is enabled, you will not see the high beam indicator. Only in the manual setting will you see the indicator, and you are required to operate the high beams . In glarefree the high beams are always on but utilize the dimming of the LEDs to prevent glare in the eyes of approaching vehicles. Maybe this will assist
