Default Apple Carplay

Guys and Girls,

I've tried everything and searched (it seems) all the internet for a fix. I can no longer automatically get to my Apple Carplay wirelessly. I have reset things, removed and replaced my iPhone on Bluetooth, to no avail. I did not do a master reset or negative battery cable disconnect.
The Wireless App Projection Enable button should activate my Carplay and I'm 90% sure this is where I'm failing. Showing on the "enable" page is the phone, music and Carplay and I get a message saying it is disabled not enabled. This after pressing the enable button........why?
I'm not computer geek and have no idea where to go next. Could it be Sync is somehow not working and wont allow Carplay? Once I plug in the USB cord everything works fine. This truck has sat for about two months and this is the first time I have lost Carplay on my 2021 Lariat.
Wirelessly my phone and the XM is working fine it's only Carplay giving me grief.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

My CarPlay only works through WiFi, I even get a message I need to turn on WiFi to use CarPlay. Though, recently it has been freezing while using Google maps and I have to turn off WiFi to get it to unfreeze. Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Mine shows it connected to my Wi-Fi yet app projection isn't open to me to choose. I do get a message to hook my phone to sync so I'll try that.
Whoever wrote that assumes I'm a techie but I'm far from that!

Maybe do the latest or re-do the latest iOS software update for your phone, disconnect and reconnect the truck battery. A forced hard reboot of both the phone and truck. Maybe that is all that is needed and is easy to do?

I only use wired CarPlay, and the reason is that I always have Wyze on, so I have to have the phone plugged anyway.
It works fairly reliably, no interference, but sometimes I have to reboot the truck's infotainment system if the screen freezes or some other glitch.

Is your CarPlay on your phone switched off? A recent iOS update did that to me.

General - CarPlay - Ford f150 x toggle to on.

My Waze app works fine wirelessly via CarPlay on my 23' STX, but I don't know how far back in model years this is the case for.

So guys there’s news. I tried all you suggested and all I could think of to fix my no wireless CarPlay. No soap.
The last 2 things were to disconnect the batt negative ( didn’t help) and full factory reset off of the settings—general settings—reset. I figure I’ve wiped out years of settings but I did the reset.
it worked , yay! Everything CarPlay works wirelessly now.
