What is strange is it is listed as the windshield recall but the fix is to update the camera image module? Huh?

 

They need to issue a recall on this incoherent message.

I got a message but it stated the windshield may pop out when the vehicle is involved in a crash. The dealer is supposed to remove it and reinstall properly. I just wonder how they will do this without breaking the windshield or cause other damage. Unless.....they use a glass shop for the repair.
thr messages says we will get a notice in the mail.

 

This could be a case where the cure is worse than the disease.

 

it says in the recall bulletin at the dealer level, the windshield will be replaced and it is a body shop/glass shop job

 

Just bought a 21 stx. They are keeping it for a week . Called a glass shop to do the sealant, then off to the body shop.

 

Got it yesterday. I think I'll wait and see how this shakes out.

 

I recieved the windshield recall in the mail today. It is Compliance Recall Notice 21C06 / NHTSA Recall 21V090. The dealer had my truck from 4-5 to 4-12 for warranty work and now I get the recall notice. It does state that the dealer will provide me with a no charge rental, but I had to wait 6 weeks for the dealer to have rental for me on the warranty work. I am not going to hurry getting this recall takesn care of if I do it at all.

 

Yeah I received a hard copy in the mail yesterday and I’m also not going to be in any hurry.
