Default Another running board thread..

I currently have the chrome one in the photo, but would like to switch over to a black running board. There are only two mounting brackets on mine now and I would like to reuse them, and just bolt on a new black running board. Is there a company that makes one that fits the factory brackets, where I can just switch out the boards?

Any paint would likely get scrubbed off by boots. Plus you have the "teeth pattern" on top of the step to work with as well.

Those aren't bad really but what's interesting is that every photo of them on a truck has three mounting brackets instead of two.

if I can sell mine, I'll gladly pay for the black Ford factory one's. Mine are solid as a rock and have been great.

Not allot of people buy used running boards especially when most trucks have them.. SInce you have a cap on the top of yours you only have to spray the outer edge where your foot does not really go.. Take them to someone that does bed liner and have them spray it, it holds up in the box of a truck perfectly fine it will hold up on that running board.. You could probably get it done for $100 especially if you mask off all the areas you do not want sprayed first.
