Default Android Auto Connection Problems

I bought a new XLT with the 302a package a couple weeks ago and Iove it so far. I have been having problems with Android Auto staying connected via the wireless connection however. It's hard to pinpoint the problem as sometimes its connection comes and goes, but Bluetooth seems to stay connected. Other times I'll try to play music over Spotify or pandora but it seems to be playing but won't switch to the AA source. I haven't messed with it plugged in as much yet but I've seen similar problems plugged in too. So far I can't tell if it's an android problem on my phone (Samsung S20+) or something in puckup's system. Has anyone had similar problems with their android auto? Thanks!

Same truck same problem. About every fifth or sixth time it won't connect. I've been trying to find a common occurrence when it doesn't connect. So far I've experienced the problem whether I started via the fob, app, or dash. At first it seemed like immediately plugging my phone to charge in the center counsol caused the issue, but that wasn't 100% either.

It does work 100% when plugged in. I just wish the AA connection was in the center console. I don't need to see the screen when AA works.

If my wireless connection drops, then it won't connect at all with the wired connection either. Seems like I need to turn the vehicle off and start it again for it to connect again.

There's a spot on my way to work that always breaks up my Android auto wireless connection. It's kind of crazy, but I know it will happen when I get to that spot. Some sort of spurious wireless interference I'd guess, but I have no idea from what.

This just started on my 2020. AA comes up and asks me to click something on the screen on my phone. Maybe Google updated their terms and conditions. The annoying part is the force you to be parked to click two buttons on the screen on the phone, and it won't finish connecting unless you do that (again while parked). I am thinking this is due to a AA app update by Google.

Annoying.

More than likely something on Google's end. There was a workaround earlier, where you entered the vehicle with the location off, It will connect and then turn on the location. This was solved with an update on Googles side.

I'm having the same issue, phone connects and says to continue on pickup screen and nothing shows up. Spend 65000 on a pickup and screen gives out at 3000 miles, not impressed.

Mine does the same thing. Random crashes, sometimes it won't connect, sometimes I can hear the radio playing behind Spotify, it's a huge pain in the ***. I would just use the wired but any knock that temporarily disconnects it means it won't reconnect until I shut off the truck and start over. These are all software issues that can be remedied but it's not ok.

Let's not even get into the fact that my fordpass app maybe starts my truck 1 out of every 10 attempts (always with good mobile reception).

I've had my Lariat for almost two weeks and AA was working fine for the first several days. Now it too is starting to have problems connecting.

Same here, Galaxy S20. Connects then cuts out and skips when using Amazon Music or Pandora. Using the cable makes everything work flawless though.
