If he paid what he said he did, he should have went X-Plan.

I was little surprised the payload is only 17xx lbs. that’s only 150 more then my 18 502A lariat with moonroof and deploying steps.

Now we know how much payload the electric motor and batteries eat up. It's still a pretty good payload, for a hybrid. I'm more curious what the actual MPG will be.

The price seems about right given that its a top tier engine. He could have paid that much and gotten a 5.0, an STX package or even XLT, etc. But he got what he wanted which was more towing power and the PowerBoost. They are also not secret about their love of steel wheels on that show. I think all things considered, it's about right. Someone said it was as much as their '18 Platinum, while I have some doubts on that, there aren't many incentives on '21s. If he waited until later this year he could have gotten it for closer to 40. But sometimes you pay to play.

That’s the thing. As much as I love the power boost it sounds like it eats up about 300-400lbs of weight. At the same time the standard ECO boost is rated to tow more then the power boost. Lastly 51 for a platinum?? Is that with incentives?

Thats what I paid for it. 51K and change, plus TTL of course. I paid under invoice for it.
