Default Amber DRLs?

Hello All,

Just bought my XLT FX4 earlier this week! I'm stupid happy with it! But now its time to start personalizing it. I've got a few questions:
  • Does anyone know if/how you can change the DRLs to amber? Is this a physical mod you need to do or can it be done in Forscan? (I also don't really know much about Forscan other than it exists and that people use it to tune their trucks)
  • I want to change the antenna to a 4" or a 6". Does it matter which one I get? Are there differences in performance?
That's it for now. I have rear wheel well liners coming in next week, and I'm waiting for my local shop to restock LineX for a bedliner - then I'll start thinking about a Tonneau cover. I'm also going to be doing a 2.5" leveling kit sooner or later.

Thank for any advice!

the longer the antenna, the better the reception. but if you have satellite radio i doesn´t really matter because the signal is either full or none. which is unlike AM and FM. i´d get the 6¨. its really small. the 4¨ to me is just too short. i think most women would also agree with that ()

thanks! yeah that makes sense. I normally just use spotify anyway so i think the 6" is a good compromise haha

Im fairly certain Satellite doesn't use the wire whip but rather the beacons on the roof. The wire is for AM/FM only...

I put this on my truck and had one on my 2018 as well. It is 3.2” and sometimes FM doesn’t come in great and more so AM more static, but I use CarPlay for Spotify almost all the time and SiriusXM app on phone if needing a sports game/talk (wife’s car has All Access so I just use app so stay within CarPlay).

Thank you everyone for the antenna information. I figured since I'm not really using AM/FM radio it doesn't really matter what I get so I just opted for a 6" amazon basics antenna. Just a simple black antenna. I might go shorter if I don't it.

Does anyone have any information about changing my DRLs to Amber? I'm really interested in doing this.

Thanks!

Well I would not think so. I doubt Ford put white/amber bulbs in the DRL. You just can't make a white bulb turn amber.

Don't the side mirror spotlights go amber for turn signal/unlock flash, but are white for spotlight?

Aren’t the DRLs just the low beams?

They may, but I can't tell since I don't have my '21 truck yet. ALL the videos and pictures of the new Ford DRLs show white. Never saw any pictures of them being amber. They did change on my after market Anzo lights. But they were switchbacks and manufactured to change color and blink as your directional signals.
