Default Alarm help!

Well, it seems my truck alarm sounds in the middle of the night. Anyone else? Must be pretty sensitive. Question. I'd love to lock the doors but can't be waking up the neighbors. If I lock from the door handle does that by-pass the alarm??

Multiple threads on this. The first thing to check is whether there is a flying insect in the vehicle. If not, then list your year and model in the your signature. Any chance it could be motorcycles going by?

This is a known problem with the 2021 Lariat models and up. Has to do with the Motion Sensors inside the cab. I was given a work around from Ford Engineers. It works but it is not a solution because you have to disable part of the alarm system. I am told a fix will come soon.

Not sure I would buy that it's a problem with the 2021 and up, my 2019 did it one night, went off five times in an hour or so. It ended up being because of the wind blowing crazy hard that night and it was managing to slightly shuffle around some receipts on my center console stack if I remember correctly, others have mentioned insects and that. It is fairly sensitive, so if you do like I see many do and hang a mask from your mirror or anything like that, odds are decent it won't take much for it to move around.

Anyway, hopefully you can determine your cause, I don't see in your message if you even have a Lariat and up, if not, then I would take it to the dealer instead as the non-motion sensor alarm shouldn't trigger that easily.

2021 is a complete redesign and uses a new array of different sensors and software relating to the alarm. They have never had these types of motion sensors inside. I have a 2021 Lariat Sport. Like stated I have a work around that is from Ford which allows the user to turn off the sensors after leaving the vehicle.

I have mine set up to ask me every time I turn the truck off.

I just picked up 2021 Lariat Thursday and every night I get an "intrusion" alarm....drove 60 miles to the dealer and they said that the sensors are at different places for the 2021. He said without performing a full diagnosis, the only thing they could do is to disarm the motion sensors via main touchscreen....which he did. About an hour ago....went off twice within 5 minutes.....there has to be a fix for this!!!!

I started a thread on this a couple of weeks ago. I have a lariat and my alarm has gone off 9 times since January 4th. Fordpass shows it went off 7 times between 3:00AM and 3:15AM. All of these the alarm sounded and the lights flashed. The other two times the alarm did not sound, but I recieved a message in Fordpass. My dealer told me I have to leave the truck and drive a loaner for a few days. I made a road trip from Denver to Fort Worth, TX last weekend. On the drive down my cluster display went dark for a few minutes while driving at night and then rebooted and came back on. On the drive home the NAV stopped working and gave me a message that it was not working and to contact my dealer. After a gas stop it worked after I started the truck back up.

My build date is 11/2020.

I have had my truck for 4 weeks and have had the same problem multiple times. Nothing hanging form the mirror, no bugs, no loud vehicles going by that would cause the alarm to go off!
Sure would like to know how to fix this. Is there any way to get to the sensors and adjust the sensitivity?

Does this only happen on lariat and up models?
