Default Alarm?

I am wondering if my truck has an alarm or not? I read in another thread about sensitivity settings for the alarm in the sync system, yet i don't have those settings. I do have what looks like the motion sensor inside however.

I think all new vehicles have some sort of an alarm. I didn’t know I could mess around with setting?

There are motion sensors inside. Not sure which trims. The salesperson pointed them out on Lariats and Plats with sunroofs. Theoretically you can leave the sunroof open and somebody reaching in would set the alarm off. You can disable that portion of the alarm too.

AHH…Makes sense. I will check this too, but with no sunroof, I probably don’t have it. Thanks

The overhead motion sensors look like small spotlights, sort of angled towards the outside of the vehicle, located in the overhead console area.
The sensors are for interior as a whole, doesn't matter which window a person puts an arm through.

As for you having an anti-theft system, yes. Engaged any time you lock the doors with methods that are not the interior lock button. With that said, I don't know if the interior lock button actually enables an alarm.
Think of it like the old days when you had to purchase an alarm that gave you a fob for a vehicle that was not fob equipped. That fob would lock the doors and arm the alarm. If we had old habits of manually locking the door before we closed the door behind us, the alarm was not armed.
I believe that is true today but I don't know if anybody has locked it from the inside and attempted to trip their alarm. I know I have not tested it.

The instrument cluster menu system is where they were prior to 2021, it may be on the sync screen now.

I’m sure I have some sort of alarm, as the sticker says perimeter alarm or something like that on it. But I can’t find an settings adjustment for sensitivity or anything like that on any menu. Doesn’t mine I couldn’t have missed it though because there are so many menus.

Maybe it’s something on the 2021 units versus the 2022 or maybe just on lariats and higher?

The perimeter alarm has no adjustments.

only the lariats and above get the motion sensors, all others are strictly perimeter (doors/hood)
