There are more than a few write-ups in a couple of the F-250 forums about how to do it. If I can find them again, I will. Looking to purchase a slightly used 2022 Lariat, at a significant savings over the slightly used Platinum (2022 with similar miles), and was wondering about this myself. It's got all the cameras, etc. Just not the acc.

Happy to say I just completed it in my 2022 which I had originally ordered but was force deleted by ford.

I thought this was standard on 302A's.... was it not in 2021?

think you'll need a CCM - I think it 'includes' the radar that ACC needs.

It is great documentation in 58 pages that's a lot of printer ink. Do we have a Cliff's Notes version condensed down to like one page with parts numbers, procedures and steps?

I have the Forscan and making a list of things to change. I don't care to live in my garage for the next month getting it all done. Truck is a 302A package above in a 2022 F150. I plan on at least looking under the front bumper one day here. I've started collecting the images from other threads.

Did I read somewhere that I do not have to actually take the steering wheel off and replace the switch to have it working as it will just trigger when the cruise is turned on? Thought I read that in one of the many posts on the topic.

You will need to determine what harness you already have to know of you can swap out the existing one or if need to run a custom made harness, the easiest way to determine this is to see if pins 9, 18, 19, and 20 are populated on the IPMA, if yes a new harness for the bumper will do the trick, if no you will need to run a new cable from the IPMA to the CCM directly (this info in in that forum thread read it over look at the pictures posted there)
you will need to add a CCM module with the proper mounting bracket the CCM seems to be the same its the bracket that seems to differ.

after this it comes down to programing my only advice here is to download livingitup's list of forscan programing options and compare the setting to your trucks configuration and the excel list of changes in the forum to enable these adaptive cruise features. not all changes will work and will need to be adjusted based on your build, but it not too hard to figure out .
no shortcut on this step, you will have to do some comparisons and be ready to make adjustments as need / if needed.

When you add the new hardware you need to rescan the truck with Forscan, don't use the existing saved profile - you will not see the new hardware.
as far as the switch mentioned this is for the distance setting you can use Forscan to set the distance and leave it at that if your not interested in adding the new switch. tho its not that hard to do.

Back up your trucks settings all of them for each module before changing anything.

once you make the changes you will have errors and you will need to clear the DTC's , and them rescan forscan software to see if they all cleared. this is where you will spend a bit of time fine tuning settings.

Thanks Dave. I reread the 58 page post on the other forum. It actually does not look that bad provided I can do the partial bumper removal method and run my new wire harness from the ccm to the ipma through the firewall on the drivers side. I've collected a parts list and will probably start collecting items from that list.

A trip to pick and pull would probably yield the best results in terms of finding the ccm and then of course a prewired pigtail would come with that. For what it is worth having ACC is a nice feature to have. I also want to add the shock sensor module as well.

The good new is since my 302a 2022 XLT came with a nav capable APIM I technically should have functioning IACC. Some people really like the option and simply won't buy a vehicle without it. I only want it to be like rest of the cool kids and to actually experience it since this is the closest we are getting to flying cars ever. Jetsons was such a let down.

Good luck! I added ACC to my 2015 F150 XL following this forum. Overall it wasn’t that difficult and sourced all parts from junk yards.

just keep reading and posting and someone will get it done here
