Default AC power outlets not active

2021 Lariat, can't find anything in owner's manual so asking here.
The 120V AC outlets at dash and in bed do not get active in Full Accessory Power mode, even tho owner's manual says they should. What am I doing wrong?

I'm not sure, but i think there is a button which turns the outlets on and off, its located to the left of the steering wheel.
But honestly i have no idea, still waiting for my truck :P

Can you tell us more about the truck? You just said Lariat, but not if it's a ProPower OnBoard or just a standard 400W outlet or what. I suspect it's some form of ProPower since I don't think there is a 400W in the bed, on non Pro-Power, but maybe there is.

Hmm, I can't find anything that says you can get power to outlets from accessory on, in the PDF manual anyway I just skimmed through. I would be surprised if that were the case in anything but maybe the PowerBoost. The generator in non-PB trucks is the alternator, which feeds to an inverter, then to the outlets. The alternator won't turn without the engine running, so how you would expect it to provide power in accessory mode I am unsure.

PowerBoost is likely the same overall limitation, but the inverter is fed from the battery, and the engine just starts to turn the motor to charge the battery. It may allow you to run in accessory mode some of the outlets, at least until the battery went below a certain level, but I doubt it.

I would expect you need to have the truck running, or if you have ProPower, have turned on Generator Mode. Manual aside, I don't know how the outlets would be powered if the engine never runs, 12V battery certainly wouldn't be a good idea.

My truck doesn't have that button adjacent to the tailgate button. I think that might only be on trucks with the pick-up bed power generator. My truck is not a PB and does not have ProPower.

The owner's manual clearly says (pages 197, 198, 199) power to these outlets is available when the ignition is on OR the vehicle is in accessory mode. When the accessory mode is on, the dash cluster shows a message indicating the Full Accessory Power Mode is on, but the outlets remain dead. Maybe just poor OM writing.

Yeah I think poor writing, I finally found what you mean, but it's hard to say if they are saying the outlet should be on. The section is talking about if the indicator light is on or off and says "The power point is working, the ignition is on, or the vehicle is in accessory mode."

That kind of reads as saying the indicator may be solid if the power point is working (meaning not in a fault state, but not necessarily supplying power), the ignition is on, or the vehicle is in accessory mode. I dunno, I tend to believe it wouldn't function without the engine running simply due to it needing an engine running to supply power. I am pretty sure as mentioned earlier that the inverter is only available when the alternator is supplying power, it won't let you drain your 12v.

I see the wording though and it definitely is confusing.

OP, I know this is old but did you ever figure it out?

I am having the same issue, and there is nothing that I can find in the manual or online other than, if the light is green, there is power. If it is orange, it has no power. I am beginning to think that it is the inverter under the back seat.
