At 62k miles, ABS warning lights started to come on along with the chimes when I braked. After paying for an hour of diagnosis, my service advisor offered to update my software (3 hour/$600 charge), and if that did not work, may need to replace ABS sensor ($2,600). I took picture of her computer screen (attached) and it appeared that all the softwares updates had just occured (right column indicates date of service). I got suspicious that all the updates had occurred during the diagnosis and left the dealer to do my own research on the issue. After around 200 more miles, the "Pre-Collision Assistance not available" light comes on when I brake. Any recommendations other than spend $2.6k on new sensor?
I by no means am an expert on ABS, so take this with a grain of salt but this could be as simple as low brake fluid, blown fuse, or faulty wheel speed sensors (or wiring from the sensors and or ABS module), so I'd check those first.
Don't be surprised if the ABS module did take a crap though, those have been known to fail prematurely on early 14th gen trucks.
Do you know what the actual codes are? May need forscan and scan it yourself to see what it actually is. It could be anything from a speed sensor, hub bearing, Master cylinder abs module assembly....
How's the battery? If you've got a weak battery and all those updates went through maybe a one got corrupted. But need to scan for codes.
Unfortunately, not solved...yet. Code C101F:49 found during shop visit. They performed PPT Y (?) which cleared the code. They are recommending electronic brake booster replacement for $2,600. Does that sound right? Cost seems over the top.
You are not interpreting that screenshot correctly. Every module with the green dot indicates there is a pending update for that module. The column on the right is when the last time that particular module reported itself to Ford's servers, and the reason it says 7/17 there is because when the dealer plugged into your truck that day, it synced everything up. The IPC did not report itself because of a configuration issue it has; this has nothing to do with your ABS issue.
These are the codes your truck is reporting. The IPMA code is a stored code, but the other three are active faults. The GWM and IPC are software related. I am not a technician, but a "generic valve failure" active fault code seems to point towards a mechanical failure of sorts that coincides with them wanting to replace the brake booster. While do you show pending updates for the ABS and PCM, I doubt that updating those modules will make this go away.

Don't know where you live, but that seems a bit high. Another user had his brake booster replaced 6 months ago, it was ~$1,900, which seems about average cost for this sort of work.
As code did not reappear, move on to simpler cheaper potential issues.
Check the brake fluid level. Its gets low as brake pads wear out. If pads are worn then replacement is needed.
Wondering to whether the brake fluid after three years or so (some 21s are over four) needs to be refreshed. I'm just hoping the system is good, but troubled by contaminants. Dealers love to replace stuff then say oops the problem is still there after they have mauled your credit card.

Be careful what you are getting into without knowing what the code description is.
Code C 101F is Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor does not agree with all other, above 25 mph.
It might be the ABS Module. Depends on what vehicle the code applies to and how its handled.
If module test passes but failure occurs when moving, suspect the wheel speed sensor signal is faulty in some way.

NOTE. The Sensor cannot be tested for output unless the vehicle is moving to pick up wheel speed Signal. If the lead or Sensor was open or shorted, there would be no signal, hence the test under motion catches any type of fault with test under motion.
