Default 8.8 or 9.75

I ordered a 24 Tremor
3.5 with the tow package. I tow a 26 ft T.T. I know it comes with the 3.73 gears ,my question is the rear-end a 8.8 or a 9.75.

Yes, it falls between the XLT and the Lariet. More of a off road package.

Sorry about the miss spell. Never was good at spelling. I corrected it in the first post.

Don't worry, most of us got it and don't mind. Some people can be decks.

3.5 always has the 9.75 rear. My question to you is why the concern? Both have a very solid rep for reliability, especially the 8.8HD.

The traditional 8.8 is not in the F150. It is a 8.8HD and in every way is bigger and stronger than the traditional 8.8. The only thing the two share is the same size ring gear.

The only issue I am aware of on 9.75 axles is the bolt shear issue on the max tow axles. There is a recall for it and I think that's been resolved by 2024 though.

I was just curious what rear-end I was getting. I couldn't find the information. So thank you guys for that. I would have been happy with either one.
