I am looking into the purchase of a new 2024 F150; I have been mainly interested in a Lariat trim level, but just for grins, I priced out an XLT . . . when I selected the 40/Console/40 option for the interior, I didn't see that it includes a Floor Shifter, while my current, 2019 XLT does have that . . . and the '24 Lariats also come with a floor shift . . .

Does anybody know whether you can even get an XLT with a Floor Shift for the 24 MY?

 

I believe that you have to go with the XLT high trim to get the shifter you are looking for.

 

I have on order a 2024 XLT in 2WD with the 40/console/40 option and the base 301A equipment group. It also forces you into the office package.
It doesn't specifically mention getting the console shifter but the interior picture changes showing the console shifter.
I would personally rather have the column shifter but am expecting it to have the console shifter, since that's what the picture shows on the build and price page.

 

I thought that I had done that, but it showed the column shifter . . . however, I added the Sport Appearance package, and the floor shifter appeared on that one . . . I will try removing one or the other and see if the picture goes back to column shifter

EDIT: I just removed the Sport Appearance Package, and the interior picture went back to the Bench seat and column shifter . . . this appears to be the key factor in getting the console and floor shift, so if you don't want the floor shifter, don't order the Sport Appearance Package

 

On the 2023 I think you had to get the Sport Appearance Package to get the floor shifter.

If I recall when I was building mine, if I selected the 40/console/40 it still had a column shift. Add the sport appearance package and it switched to floor shifter.

XLT just FYI. No idea if Lariats are different. Or the 2024's.

 

You're right, I sent the XLT Build I had to a dealership for a quote, and they told me it was for a 2023 MY vehicle, not a 2024, so I went back and re-built the XLT, this time selecting the 2024 MY, and wasn't able to find any options for a SuperCrew where you could get a floor shifter . . . which eliminates the XLT from my consideration . . .

I went back and configured a 2024 Lariat and sent that to the dealership . . .

 

Interesting change. I didn't get the Sport version in 2021 because I didn't want the wasted space of a console shifter. So I got the chrome package which had column shift. Glad to hear they standardized it.

 

As I said i have a 2024 XLT Super Crew on order and my 40/console/40 shows the floor shifter. Maybe you have a different configuration that won't allow it.
The only extras I ordered is the 5.0 , 40/console/40 with office package and Tow Haul package with tow mirrors. Here is a screen shot of my 40/console/40 choice
and it shows the floor shifter.

 

I also configured the FX4 package on the site

 

And I'm trying hard to find a way to get the column shifter. Hopefully a loaded xlt with cloth seats
