Default 2024 Climate Control Module

Did some searching on Fords web site for a upgrade to my Cliamte Control Module, Want to get the unit that has the Digital Temp Display for the Dual temp controls

Electronic Climate Ctrl Module Motorcraft CCM403

This is what I see for my 2024 but some sites say it for 2023 and earlier just want to confrim this should work,
also want to verify if this can be done with forscan or becuase of the new Ford encryption that it can only be done by the dealer now ?

If your truck has TRON which supposedly started late 2024 and that module you want to install is listed for 21-23 models then it probably isn't going to work. Guys have tried installing different shifters on other forums and having issues with a wrench light and codes in the GSM, you might have a similar communication/authentication issue.

I thought about installing the digital one when I got my truck along with the factory LED license plate lights but never did either.

It definitely has TRON, The ford parts website said it was compatible, thats not saying it would still need to be programmed with FDRS and TRON

It making me consider buying the Mongoose interface and go from there

The HVAC is not part of the TRON network. FDRS won't help since the part number would differ from what FDRS has for your truck on the server side. You can program it with FORScan, but note that in the future when you get sent an OTA for the HVAC, it will fail since the files the server wants to send do not match with what the HVAC needs. Not a big deal, imo, but just FYI.

Diagram below shows the modules with TRON encryption on the 2024 F150.

I would take what Rugedraw has to stay as fact. He knows what he is talking about. I would just leave it along if it was me.

Plenty of people have done what he wants to do. I'm not saying he shouldn't do it.....just making him aware of what will eventually happen.

Are the 2024–2025 F-150 Updated ***** compatible with my 2022 Platinum? My understanding is that these ***** have a brighter display.
