Nice. If you need leather...Katzskin replacement seat covers.
Good call.
I was already looking into that. But I’m at the dealership now and those fabric seats aren’t bad at all. I’m happy with how they look. When they get some wear down the road, I’ll do the Katzkin or one of the other.
Pros: The fabric is a lot nicer than I was expecting, it is the color I would have chosen, it has an FX4 package, it has a Ford Tonneau bed cover and a Rhino bed liner, I got 22 MPG on the trip home, it’s still essentially new, only 5 months into warranty, I think I got a good deal. Way cheaper than a Lariat anyway.
Cons: It’s not a Lariat, so no Seat position memory, no homelink remote on the visor, no cooled seats (that’s the only one of any consequence, but still not a big deal). Edit to add: it barely fits in the garage.
After looking around, I discovered this truck has an airbag suspension kit the wasn’t included on the dealer’s listing.
It’s nice to have, but I have a couple of questions. The remote is not anywhere in the truck (I will call the dealer tomorrow to ask if they have it). I can download an app to control the pressure but to pair the app I have to “cycle the power” to the unit. The manual says to pull the fuse for 5 seconds. I don’t see a fuse anywhere on or near the compressor, and I don’t want to go messing around with the original truck fuses (It seems these modern trucks are more computers than vehicles), for fear of messing up some other electronics. Any pointers where to look?
Second question is: will this void the warranty on any way? The vehicle comes with a lifetime power train warranty, but I can’t see anything about modifications. I was also considering adding a Granger PremierCare ESP, will the air bags be an issue there? Again, I’ll ask the dealer tomorrow. I bought it at a Ford Dealership and it was a “Blue Certified” vehicle, so surely they are aware these are installed.
I haven't had an F-150 since 2018..had an Edge as was working remotely however now have a job where I daily drive everyday. Just picked up a 2024 STX F-150. Glad to be back on the site and in a F-150 once again! I hope you like your find!
