Default 2023 Tremor, which engine is better

Thinking about buying a 2023 F150 Tremor, has anyone had any problems with theirs ? How are the 5.0, any complaints with them? How does the 3.5 hold up?

I just picked up a 3.5 Tremor 402a with a ton of options. It was a SO that someone backed out of. Objectively, the 3.5 is a better truck motor. If you're planning to tow or drive in the mountains it's the way to go. If you want V8 noises, well you want a V8.

I had a 07 with the 5.3 Triton and it was a dog. There's no way I'd go back to a V8 again.

Tremors are sweet trucks, just love the looks of them when you see them in the wild.

Out of curiosity, have you spent any time in a 5.0 powered F150? I only ask because if your sole experience with V8 F150’s was the 5.4 Triton, I could understand not wanting to go back to a V8. They were dogs for sure, but stout and got the job done. The 5.0 is a whole different beast, loved the two I had. That said, this 3.5 is a whole different beast on another level, and if I were shopping today or ordering, it would be my top pick.

Love mine - 402a package with about 9k miles. Only issue I've had was a rear passenger window what wouldn't go up. they replaced the switch under warranty. Best F150 I've had so far. I've had 4 so far. the 3.5 is a torque beast with no penalty in high altitudes.

No I haven't been in a newer truck with the 5.0. I'm sure they are great, but for a truck I want low end grunt and don't want to pay a penalty for high altitude. We're planning to buy a trailer and take it to the mountains. My wife's '18 Explorer has the 3.5 and the altitude doesn't seem to affect it at all. My brother has had a 12 gen 3.5 EB and 13th gen 2.7 EB for work. IMHO the EB are both great motors.

Cant argue the altitude, had my ‘13 5.0 in Colorado Springs and it definitely suffered. Buddies ‘17 Platinum 3.5 was a beast there.

The Tremor deserves the 5.0. A truck that looks that good, deserves an engine sound that will keep up with the looks.
