2023 ford pass problem

Default 2023 ford pass problem

my fordpass app can only lock/unlock , unable remote start, i try re-pair, reinstall to phone, reset on truck still the same issue , anyone have same problem?

I believe, and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you need the XLT high package (302a) to get remote start. Does your XLT have the 302a package?

I think he is talking about using ford app to remotely start the truck. You should be able to do this with an XL truck. That said, I’ve never got it to work

2022 xlt 301a. I use the remote start every day. Works well, it must be a software issue on your end

I have a 2023 XL with the 3.5L Ecoboost. For me, the FordPass app (on an iPhone) does in fact start the truck. The lock/unlock and horn/lights buttons on the app all work too.

Hi - My Fordpass also can lock and unlock, but intermittently the remote start will not work. Instead I get the message "Vehicle failed to start" and "Vehicle shutting down in <10 minutes" . When this happens, I found out by trial and error that pressing the button in the upper right of the screen to extend the time another 10 minutes, the truck starts within seconds. This tells me that remote start is (at times) not working because it thinks the truck is already running. I have spoken with the FordPass experts and been told there is a known bug, and it should be fixed with the next software update. My truck is only as few months old, and this problem has existed from day 1.
What puzzles me is that it took at least 5 calls with them to get that info.
I'm curious to know if others have this same problem.
