Hello ,all!
I have a 2023 F150 xlt, it downshift while I’m driving it, I’m not sure if you call it downshift or something else
as in the picture, it is a 10 gear transmission, but it randomly goes down 10 9 8… until it hits 1, that makes it only has 1 gear and the engine rev crazy, once it starts down shifting , the number only drops when I step on the gas.
I brought it to the dealership to have it inspected and comes back all green, nothing fails.
Any one has any idea what is going on?
thanks for your time.
it is at 61521 miles, just pass the power train warranty. The first time it happened was at around 58000 miles and after that all good till last week it happened more frequently
Color me impressed that you run 20k plus a year. Guessing that you are trying to say that while you are happily driving along, when it drops into first year.....
Now assuming you aren't going for the kickdown to end all kick downs, since its on your dime, recommend a fluid and filter change. Give it a few days and see if the symtoms return. Remember you don't get all the old ATF out every drain and refill.

thanks for your advice, I will do a drain and fill transmission fluid change once I get it back from the shop

+ the filter, so get a new pan gasket too. You wouldn't just change your motor oil and not change the filter. The transmission is your second most expensive system. This especially applies if you're towing or off roading.
