Default 2023 Broke down

My company provides vehicles. I have been in a 2018 F-150 and was updating to a 2023 F-150 5.0L. After several months of waiting for the truck to be built, sent to the dealer and have the up fitting done, I got dropped off to pick it up on Friday. One the drive home, the Service Autotrac light went off. Started hearing metal clanging and banging from underneath. Almost sounded like the 4wd was trying to engage like in the days of manual floor shifters. Truck shuts off. warning lights everywhere, Pop ups saying on this after another failed. TPMS, coolant overheat, low oil and a dozen others. Christmas tree lighting up. Started feeling clunky. Shifted into neutral and coasted to the side of the highway.

It is a pushbutton start. The light was flashing on the button, but nothing changed when I pressed the button. Like it didn't exist. Call the dealer. They don't tow, but made an appointment for them to look at it next week. Called our fleet management company to get a tow. Truck had 30.3 miles on it.

Tow driver got there after 90 minutes to take it back to dealership. Said least week he had an F-150 that lost the engine at 3500 miles. I know things happen with every make and model, but this is an impressive failure.

That's very disappointing for a new truck. It seems that there are more and more stories of problems soon after purchase, but most are not in the first 50 miles or quite that dramatic. It could have been worse. You could have been the one that just shelled out thousands of dollars for that truck.

Could have been epically worse. It broke down less than a mile from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. If it broke down there, no shoulder, only 5 thousand or so people cussing you out for hours as you cause a massive traffic jam.

XLT 4x4.

I'll post when the dealership gets back to me. My uneducated guess is a massive electrical malfunction. The way it shut off, had all the sensors going off and just did not respond after it stopped makes me think that. There was for sure metal clacking in the area of the transfer case. Not sure if something was trying to engage it or something, It was in 2WD while I was driving, so I'm not sure if something got damaged with whatever those horrible noises underneath were.

Was Fordpass activated on the truck? If so, post or PM me the VIN of the truck. I'm curious to see what DTC's it recorded.
