Default 2022 Lariat Wireless Charging Error

I have had my truck for 1 week and the wireless charging dock will charge, but around one minute an error will appear on the screen. It says something about the phone being misaligned, even though it’s not. I even tried removing the phone case, but that didn’t work either. Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone have a fix?

When you put it on the charging pad push it all the way to the right until it hits the side. That fixed min (iPhone 12).

Pushing it all the way to the right worked! Wow, what a simple easy fix! Much appreciated! God bless!

My solution is to plug the phone into a charging cable while my phone sits nicely in the pocket for the shift lever. I've found my phone gets quite warm sitting on the wireless charge pad but doesn't take on much charge. My wife's 2020 Escape charging pad is even worse than the F-150 so I learned before I got the truck that the pad would be of questionable value for my iPhone. I have no experience with other phone brands, though.

I don't know what trucks it applies to, but there is a module update out for the wireless charger that is supposed to improve the operation of the charger. There is a TSB for it as well that I've seen posted.

How do we go about doing a “module update”?

How recent is this does if apply to MY22? Mine get super hot while charging. I end up never using it.

Looks like iPhone users are out of luck with Ford...
