Question 2022 Dash Cam Install

I'm installing a dash cam on my 2022 F-150 XLT. Does anyone know where i can get accessory (keyed) power in the roof console?

Seems like the auto dimming mirror should have it. I'm not sure where to tap in, but it would be close to where I would put the camera. There are even some cameras out there that are vehicle-specific that I believe tie into that source.

this would not work for someone like me using a BlackVue camera as they don’t use usb power. I think about at least half of the good cameras don’t use usb.

Default Blackvue install location

I am planning on installing a Blackvue DR900 X Plus 2 channel system in my ‘22 Platinum. I am wondering where others have mounted the front camera relative to the rear view mirror. Not sure if I’ll be interfering with the technology embedded in the mirror by placing something directly centred and below the matrix. Trying to keep it out of the line of sight but preserve best video field of view.

Dongars and similar work fine, but if you want to use a camera in parking mode, you are SOL, as these only power when the ignition is on.
