2022 Compass Issue
Skywrench. Just to let you know I have the exact same problem. The day I picked my truck up (NEW 2022 F150 XL) from the dealer the compass did not work. I took in back in and they put their computer on it and said the communication module was bad and they were going to order a new one. A few weeks later they called and said Ford had a software update that would fix it. Took it in and they updated the software and it worked until just the other day when I took it for the oil change.. When I was going back home I noticed the compass had stopped working again and was froze on North (both the one in the Syn 4 and on the instrument cluster. ) I called them back and the shop manager told I'd have to bring it back in after Christmas. The only thing they did according to him was change the oil and reset the oil life in the truck computer. If its related to the oil life reset this iis going to suck lemons.

I guess this is a pretty common issue.....I have been trying to ignoring, but find myself watching it not change or change at will..tryed the volume/ forward fix, but no good....guess will have to have dealer address when I go in.....2022 F150 XLT 302A, Sport package, no navigation was part of $200 delete package.

Mine doesn't really work either, 2022 XLT 302a package. What funny is that for the longest time, it was stuck on "N", and it happens to fall right below the middle of the coolant temp gauge. So I thought, oh, it's "N" for "Normal" until one time I looked down and it said "W"... Oh, that's the compass. Kind of weird to just have it placed in a seemingly random spot on the screen with no other symbols or labels around it. I'd say 90% of the time, it reads "N". I have not complained about because I don't care enough to be bothered to spend the time at the dealer for something I don't really use.
Has anyone gotten this fixed? I've been to the dealership twice and they did software updates but it didn't fix it. They want to replace the APIM now but with others having the same issue and a coworker who's having the same issue I don't think replacing the APIM will work. I see a TSB for 2022s but its for 2022s from February 2022 back...mines an August build and my coworker is an October build.

As for the compass apparently the dealer is still waiting on the APIM. I’ve talked to several others with this same issue which is surprising that Ford QC is not catching this.
I put SiriusXM back in. My ACM had the XM tuner so I just had to swap the antenna on the cab and make two changes with Forscan.

You’ll have to pull your ACM out and see if it has the XM number next to the bar code. If it does you’ll have to enable it via Forscan and replace the passenger side antenna. Read the thread in the link below it’s not to hard…the hardest part is replacing the antenna which really isn’t that bad.
