Default 2021 Steering issue: Thoughts?

I've had my truck 5-6 weeks. Love it. But have had an issue recently. Was pulling my tractor and went to pull out of a gas station on to a highway. Truck tried to take a hard right on its own. Cruise and lane keeping were not engaged. I fought it and kept it on the road, but once I got going noticed the steering wheel was no longer straight, more like at 4 and 10. Steered fine, just a crooked steering wheel. A week later I was driving to the lake and noticed that over time the wheel mostly got back straight on its own. Pulled into a convenience store, and then when pulling out, went crooked again. Then later I hit a series of bumps on a bridge (not bad ones) and it seemed like the steering tried to do some movements on its own again to the left.

Any thoughts? Probably going to take it to the dealer to get checked out.

I'll also add, no mods other than a tailgate cover. Stock 20 tires and no leveling kit.

You didn't high tail it right to the closest dealer when the wheel was still crooked to ask them WTF was wrong with the truck? Random steering inputs you don't control are a pretty big safety hazard. Honda is actually issuing recalls right now due to "unexpected steering" by their EPS systems, caused a few crashes already. I'm all about technology but when all the OEMs started shifting to EPS and now EPB, this kinda stuff is always in the back of my mind.

It'll be heading to the dealer tomorrow. Kinda thought it had resolved itself. Wasn't sure if there's some kind of mechanism or automation that was causing this. First time was a little scarey, especially pulling a tractor behind me. Otherwise, it still steers and drives great.

Only thing I can think of is you had a ton of tongue weight on the hitch and it make the front end so light it freaked out the steering torque sensor, but probably not.

Sounds reasonable, but the 2nd time around I wasn't towing anything. Of course, I guess something could have got damaged or loose from the first incident.

Thanks for the info. I seem to recall seeing that, but my truck was built outside of those dates. I had a build date of a week after the recall mentioned. Not saying that's not the issue, as it sounds suspect.

Dropped my truck off yesterday. They said it will be at least a week before they can even look at it. Strange how they don't have trucks to sell but the service dept is backed up so far. They didn't seem familiar with the recall.
