Default 2021+ SAS reset needed after alignment?

Hey guys,

Google is giving conflicting information including Forscan saying 2021+ there is no SAS reset needed. Anyone care to chime in please? Need to see if my 2022 F150 needs it done after an alignment..

I haven't hooked up the scanner to see what the 2021+ has listed, but I know on my 2020 F150 and other makes and models they list a reset of the steering pull compensation or SAS reset... Could be worded different ways on different vehicles but basically resets the learned functions of how the vehicle was driving prior to an alignment. It's always recommended to perform a reset after doing any changes to the front end.

If it's applicable on forscan it should be in the wrench section or look in abs for steering angle or drift pull compensation... If there's not there it might not be applicable or requires FDRS. I've heard that vehicles with adaptive steering have a completely different setup for calibration and that minor adjustments shouldn't require reset. For the vehicles we work on if it has a reset we reset it and If it doesn't we do the alignment and send it on its way.

Ya, I went to a small shop. Not sure if they did.
Ill take a look in awhile and see if I see it.
So, the 2022 F150s have it?
Strut swap, so I assume it was minor?

I'm pretty sure it's and option for the lariat and standard on everything above that, but I'd have to check.

If it was just struts replacement and no physical damage from curb, accident... You shouldn't have any issues. If there's no warning lights, the truck drives straight, the steering wheel is straight and the all the angles are within specs I wouldn't worry about it. We always give our customers a printout of the specs and have them saved on the computer.

I have the XLT. So I might not have it then.
No accidents. Just swap. Truck has 12k miles on it.
