Are 2021 f150s easily stolen?
It seems to be no secret that up till now, F150s are pretty easy to break into or even worse steal, at least for year models 2020 and older. What about the 21's? Are they any harder to steal? I've seen a video on the Nextdoor site of a guy (kid actually) trying to steal a late model truck (all I could tell it is that it was somewhere between 15-20 year model)
Are there any factory available deterrents to help secure my investment?
The video appears to be of a whole crew working together to steal the truck. It wasn't clear from the post whether or not the truck was actually taken.

Unfortunately, if your vehicle is moving and you get the alert, they've already stolen it. You might be able to recover it though. And if you get the cam with alerts, it's not really a deterrent unless it also has some kind of alarm equipped that you can set off. You'll maybe get a photo or video to ID people though, if it's a dual cam with an inward facing one.

I'm thinking more in terms of a kill switch or something. Of course, that won't stop a wrecker, but at least they won't drive away with it.

Not interested in accessing the fuse panel/box every time i want to drive the truck.
After I posted this thread I found a large thread addressing this, however it was on earlier model trucks and there was a lot of good ideas, including locking out the column shift solenoid that wouldn't allow the truck to be shifted out of park.

1. Terrible investment
2. Isn't that what insurance is for? I'd be happy to have my vehicles stolen somewhere within the first 5years of ownership. 100% covered including taxes and any add on.
inventory around here is increasing as well so should be replaceable pretty easily.

my understanding is prepared thieves simply cut the steering wheel and remove the club
I would rather not have my truck stolen, regardless of whether or not it's insured, especially since I've spent money modifying it to my taste.
The thread is about theft prevention. I would prefer to leave questions of insurance out of it, as it just isn't an appropriate to answer the question at hand.

I discovered that my 21 Lariat powerboost knew when I jacked up attached boat trailer and swapped hitch insert. It was the first time I put our pontoon boat trailer on new truck and the insert was way too low so I thought I would just jack up and unhitch trailer and swap to a taller hitch insert with truck shut off and locked. It alarmed and flashed lights thinking trailer was being stolen I assume. I was surprised it was that smart.**** I have an idea!!! What if you disconnected the connecter to "push to start" switch and you then mounted another (identical one) push button switch hidden under dash but easy for the owner to locate. That way even if thief had key fob and brake pedal satisfied electronics, the thief would be pushing a dummy button! lol..... truck no start! He would give up I bet.
