if you can get a 24, that's would i would do. They have had a number of years of carryover drivetrains and many of the features from higher trims in past years are now standard or available in a lower trim. they haven't introduced new powertrains or features in the last few years, which means more time for refinement. just my 0.02

I have a '21 F150 Lariat. Nothing was deleted, everything works fine 160,000kms (99,418 miles) and I am getting updates.

I have a 21 with the 3.5 EcoBoost. I have 3.55 gears. I have not had a problem with this truck so far. I traded in a 17 for it. I find the transmission is a lot smoother than the 17. If you get the 21 with 5.0 I am pretty sure you will be happy with it.
