Default 20 inch wheels

So I just bought a 21 Lariat with the 20inch wheels. I'm not a fan so I want to change them out to the 18inch and put BFG KO2 on them. So my question is will I need to have the computer reprogramed for the smaller wheels? I have the 3:31 rear end so will the smaller wheels reduce my towing capacity?

Smaller wheels or bigger wheels makes no difference it is he size of your tires - what size to plan to use?

Is it just the looks you do not like or something else.... just curious.

Like mentioned above, your tire shop can sell you the correct size tire to match factory diameter just with a different size hole in the center.

I like the look of the KO2 with the white letters, not many choices for solid white letters in the 20inch size.

This is from a 18 502a lariat.

Should be a simple change out if your running the 275/55/20 as the spare is already a 265/75/18

Look on your tire load sticker located on the drivers door latch pillar to verify the information is the same.

just do the math...275 X .55 = 15.125mm (5.954 sidewall) X 2 = 11.908" + 20" wheel = 31.909" tire diameter. 275 X .65 = 7.037 sidewall height X 2 = 14.074" + 18" wheel = 32.074"...negligible difference...no need to re=program.

Aren't the 20" tires going on the 21 trucks actually 275/60/20? That would be a 33" tall tire. A closer 18" match would be a 275/70/18 which is 33.16"
